Deathtoallah, Have you phoned the rap line or phoned barrhead fish and game? Dude, I hate, HATE poachers. I report all of the p.o.s cause that's what they are, nothing but p.o.s. If you do the same maybe we can prevent our lakes from dying. People seem to think the supply of fish is endless, it's not. It takes fricken years to re-populate a lake a millions of dollars. Everyone should be reporting all poaching activity.

its really sad that most you people continue to post about dolberg as posting about it has done nothing but maybe it harder to fish, it use to be a gem until all these poachers started coming up there ive seen poeple continuously keeping coolers full of raindows well over the legal limit of day catch stop ruining lakes by posting you stories keep gems like dolberg secret

Well imo this is a good decision due the productivity of dolberg but most lakes around here have the same potential, carson lake would make an insane quality fishery. The folks mostly Asian descent who frequent this lake will be disappointed, which they should be where else can they baitfish from shore other than carson.which the fishimg pair is insanely busy and you aret lucky to get a spot to fish. That stupid Whiteridge pond in blue ridge is a joke managed with quality regulations and you cant get a fish over 2 years old in there for some reason, make that place a shore fishing spot its close to town im sure the people would rather go there than all the way to dolberg anyway lots of room there for picnics and families...... come on srd figure it out lol

I get it. All our water ways need people to show respect and clean up after themselves. I have wrote more on that in reviews on other lakes and streams I frequent. I also pick up others trash and put it in the trash bins supplied or take it with me and trash it at home. But that is all I've got to say about that. As far as my prayers being answered.......again looking forward to bigger rainbows again in Dolberg similar to Muir that's it. Happy fishing to all, enjoy the waters!

Good for you that your prayer answered. You should pray more that people will clean up the lake.

by Bullshields on Apr. 16, 2018

Lol get on a plane for a trophy fish. Dolberg will continue to be a litter box for city people

Wait a minute....I don't go to church but....my prayers have been answered! One over 19.7 inches and a bait ban great news! This is what Dolberg needed can't wait till 2020! Not that I keep any period unless foul hooked. Looking forward to a few great CPR days out there in the future. Catch Photograph Release!

Still have been lots of decent fish but this should make the lake great again... no idiots on shore baitfishing and leaving garbage behind, less crowds and the opportunity to make a few $$$ calling in people to RAP that refuse to follow the new regulations... can't wait. A couple years and it will be prime again.

I am not happy with the new changes to Dolberg Lake. I can blame the fishermen/women who keep any size they catch and ruining this awesome lake.. 20+ years, my favourite lake is officially terrible now...

by Small-fish on Jan. 26, 2018

Agreed.

Star Star Star Star Star

by Cajed1 on Jan. 11, 2018

Hell No... it should be changed to 1 over 50cm and a bait ban & made a quality stocked fishery. Way to much pressure these days to sustain a 5 fish limit and any decent size...quality before quantity. People can Go fish peanut or one of the others nearby that aren't able to grow larger fish and keep their 5 @ 12" fish...

by Mama Bear on Jan. 11, 2018

There appears to be a form circulating asking for people to comment on the sustainability of Dolberg and if you want it restricted for size, numbers allowed, the possibility of no ice fishing. The consensus of this form is to turn the lake into a fly fishing lake or no bait only. If you are interested in keeping the lake as it is please obtain a form from Kodiak Hunting & Fishing 780-674-2484. Help keep our lake open for all to enjoy year round.

Im sick of the City pressure.Twenty years ago this lake was mostly used by locals. This is one of the reasons i hate social media.Oh and by the way a dock is made for people to fish off.

Great spot. Easily accessible. That's where the problem lies. Still visit this lake a few times a year. Number of big bows has dropped dramatically in the past 10ish years. Was out on the weekend caught 20 little bows and 1 16 inch football. Would love to see the regs change on this lake to let the bows grow to what was the average of years past. Had days out there of nothing but 16 to 19 inch fish and the odd 12 or smaller. I get it though a put and take lake...... most take. Happy Fishing!

Boat launch and dock are for boats and not fishing as long as you move when a boat tries to launch or load shouldn't be a problem...love internet tough guys...

Star Star Star Star Star

by Silent but deadly fisherman on Jul. 8, 2017

Heard there were bunch of goons on boats at the boat dock, belting out frustration and anger at the people fishing on the dock last weekend.. I will fish at the dock soon some time next weekend and waiting to get this reaction from people at the boaters. Come try your stunt at me!' I promise to cast my 2-3ounce weight at you and your boat. Come to shore and I will make sure you experience a $400 beat down with my rod.

by NorthernYaker on May. 24, 2017

Sorry just checked it's actually.... When boating in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia, please observe the unposted speed limit of 10km/h (6 mph) within 30 meters (100 ft) from shore. This limit applies on all waters within these provinces except where other limits are posted. These provisions do not apply in rivers less than 100 meters (300 ft) in width, canals and buoyed channels nor in the case of waterskiing, where the tow boat launches and drops off skiers by heading directly away from or into the shore.

by NorthernYaker on May. 24, 2017

It's not on the list of electric only lakes... no restrictions other than maybe the transport Canada one about 12km/he within a certain distance from shore. Which applies to every single lake.

by Family on May. 24, 2017
