Was out last weekend, talked to a few guys that were out since first light and got skunked, one guy got one since first light. I got a little one when it got dark. Let it go so there's at least one left in there.

by Jimi73 on Sep. 28, 2016
Was there last weekend, hadn't been in years. Fishing has dropped unbelievably. Catching nothing but yearling "minnows" was not what I remembered. Also.... campsite is infested with skunks, very brace skunks. Blew an air horn to scare them off, no effect.
by DC168 on Jul. 15, 2016
It was slow last weekend. I tried worm, power bait and marshmallow. It could be the weather.
by fisherman77 on May. 26, 2016

Went out from 8am to 1:30pm and got hit with 9 trout. 5 rod benders and kept 4, released 3 and lost 2 before they got to shore. Great day to be out!
by Hannibal on Sep. 8, 2014
Fishing good but all small ones no more rod benders it seems to many people taking them out instead of letting them go and keeping the smaller ones maybe when all the big ones are gone they will stop coming out
by random_words on Aug. 17, 2014
caught 2 11 inch rainbows both at around 2:00pm from a small boat using power bait. people were catching trout from the dock as well
by random_words on Aug. 15, 2014
I'm planning on heading out this weekend, is anyone having luck with trout? Trout should be around 30 feet deep at this time of year, correct?
by Atkinss on Jul. 12, 2014
10am-2pm mix of casting and trolling spinners, GULP minnows and small 1/8oz rapalas. Caught one pan size trout and a couple nibbles. Not many were catching
by maddog11 on Jul. 10, 2014
what are you using for hooks?_
by damaltor on Jul. 9, 2014
I did not say trout don't spawn in lakes, I said "rainbow trout" don't spawn in lakes. They spawn in streams with a gravel bottom and highly oxygenated, flowing water.
by Jeffjohnstone on Jul. 5, 2014
When they are put into lakes they are the same sex.
Trout can adapt and change sex but with people keeping and them dying over the winter due to low oxygen levels they don't spawn
by Madmak on Jun. 30, 2014
Out for four hours today. Lots of nibbles caught six. Two were a good size, 14" but the others were only about 8".
by Atkinss on Jun. 27, 2014
My research says differently. Could you give me direction to your reasoning behind trout not spawning in lakes?
by damaltor on Jun. 27, 2014
I don't doubt the females would have eggs, but that doesn't change the fact that rainbow trout don't spawn in lakes.
@dalmator I caught a 4 pounder in May that shot it's eggs all over my feet and ground, atleast a few hundred...
by damaltor on Jun. 25, 2014
Atkinss... rainbow trout don't spawn in lakes, hence the need to stock it every year.
by Jeffjohnstone on Jun. 25, 2014
For you Atkinss no camping spots available maybe go try eating fish elsewhere?
by Atkinss on Jun. 18, 2014
Any chance of getting a camping spot on a regular weekend showing up Friday night?
by Cajed1 on Jun. 18, 2014
Ha ha I love when people talk winter kill...
Been out several times, caught several decent trout and all were released to be caught another day.
Are the trout done spawning? I'm coming out next month to eat a few
by bakercreek56 on Jun. 18, 2014
If anyone get's out please update. Curious to know if the lake had winterkill or not. Thanks
by flyofdestiny on Jun. 2, 2014

Dolberg used to have Perch, about 10 years ago, but they were winter killed one year and there hasn't been any since. The lake has gone down hill since they started charging for sites. Before they started charging it was only the hardy fisherpersons who came here. Now they let in all the yahoo's. At least there are still no large motor boats.
by Jason on Sep. 6, 2011
