The lake is not winterkilled and i can guarrentee that with the lake being medium size lake with maximum depth of 37 feet. Also with the minimal amount of snow around here the light will go through the ice and keep the plants alive. If the snow cover is heavy the plants dont get enough light to live. While they wilt they suck the oxygen out of the lake killing the fish. The lake is fishing well right now. Last week i fished it and caught 7 walleye of all sizes including one at 5.5lbs
