Just wondering what the shoreline is like on the north side of the provincial park campground. Might be up camping close to the lake for a few days later this summer and would like to kick the tinner in and leave it in for our stay if possible, thanks.

Went out yesterday fished the south east side of the lake, got three decent fish in 30 to 40 feet. Bite was hot until 10am then died off completely. We started trying deeper and were marking fish in 80 to 100 feet suspended but couldn't get a sniff. Does anyone have and tips on fishing lakers this early?

There is a slight chance the lake will be clear by the long weekend but we'll need some heat and wind. Still solid ice on most of the lake.

Make sure you have good tires there are big drifts out there. There are decent trails to follow to popular spots. And ice was still good when I went out Thursday

Out at Cold Lake our first time here from Calgary. Day one we were skunked marked tons of fish, had them chase us up and down the water columns. We were using TC's with various bait. And other large jigs. We tried to avoid crowds but it was difficult. Trying our last attemp at Cold Lake tomorrow before the long trek home. If anyone has any tips or even some advice to send me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated my email is jon.jacquard24@gmail.com.

Slow morning to start off. landed a nice 9 lb 26" laker at 7:10 in 160' of water and had nothing until losing two back to back at noon in 80' after moving and exploring. Back to deeper water for the afternoon. TC Moto white and pink jigs tipped with minnow. 28" of ice pretty much everywhere, right to base of auger. 30+ trucks out and about all the way to sask border side NEED 4WD for sure, top layer of ice/snow is crusty and ROUGH, few guys got stuck driving to far east side this morning for over an hour. tight lines everyone and happy family day weekend!

Out here right now. Almost maxed out my 36 inch auger. 20 inches plus every where I’ve put a hole. Trucks everywhere. Off the marina, Garnet Beach, long bay, French bay. They’re all good to go. There is a huge ice heave around pelican rock that’s looks like it goes north all the way across to the second point.

New to cold lake just got sent here for three months and don’t have any transportation. Living on the base. Was hoping someone on here that lives near or on the base would be kind enough to bring me along with them one weekend for a day of fishing? I do have my own rod and tackle. Didn’t bring my auger with me on the plane..... would be willing to throw in some money for gas. Thanks!

Ice Report: 14 in
Center bay and French bay had anywhere from 18-20inches on it. I drilled about 10 holes in total. I checked ice North East of pp point about 400 yards out onto the main lake and found a spot with 14". I didn't venture any further although tthere was tracks. There is an ice heave forming on French bay.

Very slow to nothing biting around French Bay Jan 21-22. All species. Ice is 18" and very rough to cross in some areas. Make sure you know where you are going if you bring a trailer. Fairly smooth trail between Prov Park and east point of the bay but going north, encountered very rough ice heaving.
