Hi Big fish guy, From where you touch down on the ice from land to reach Ross Haven side? Can you post a map spot with latitude and longitude

Star Star Star Star Star

by Big fish guy on Mar. 16, 2018

Catching the odd VERY large White. Need to be patient very quiet and no maggot or any bait on a tiny little hook. shallow water along weeds and we fish on the Ross Haven side slow slow but well worth the wait. Enough Pike and walleye to keep things interesting between the white sightings.

by Troy78 on Feb. 2, 2018

Hey dan best way to catch them is with a net !!! But if you don't have one of those then I would go to the ol wetaskiwin special in gold or silver. Tipped with a maggot of course.

by DanP780 on Feb. 2, 2018

Any tips on locations and methods on catching these elusive lac ste. Anne whitefish? No luck over the last couple years and I've seen schools and schools of them on the camera..

Anyone been catching near Gunn? I was out last week and we had one pike. It was our first time on this lake so we were probably out too deep.

Thanks curtis_rak, yea went out today in the exact spot u described and was in about 9-10 feet of water, steady action all day, pulled out 6 pike and 1 walleye in a little over 5 hours, but a ton of bites all day and 6 more I had on the line and right at the hole the fish wiggled off the hook, so coulda been more, thank you very much for the feedback, hope you have a good season buddy.

Brendo. 2-300yds out in Val Quentin is anywhere from 5-10' of water (for the most part). Just venture out a bit and drill some holes and you will get to that 15' range eventually

by Uncle brendo on Jan. 18, 2018

Hey anyone know how deep it is on the val Quentin side around 2-300yards from shore? Trying to find a place where water depth is around 8-15 feet, going Saturday and haven't fished this lake before in winter. any feedback is appreciated. Thanks and good luck to all the fellow anglers out there,

Does anyone know how the ice is right now with this warmer weather? I want to drive out there Friday to fish but I don't want to drive all the way out there and not be able to fish! Thanks!

Easy access at Val Quentin and rr40 right now. There is a weird looking flooded heave right at the Alberta Beach launch today... Ice is pushing 30" out near RR40 and lots of vehicles on the ice. Fishing has been really decent lately. Good morning and evening walleye bite with a few randoms mid-day.
