Guys, what park of the lake is the best for walleye fishing? And what is the best boat launch to choose? First time going Pigeon.

Yepp, jighead n minnow. Or some typa Carolina rig with one on there too. Trolling won't work the best, gotta get a few inches off the bottom for the walleye

Fished off the provincial park last night for a couple hours. Didn't catch anything. All the other boats around were catching fish by the dozen. Tried trolling with a 5 of diamonds, jigging with a white grub, and casting and retrieving a spinner. Not even a bite. If someone can point me in the right direction on how to get these fish to bite that would be greatly appreciated!!!

Fished Pigeon on July 12. Three of us were on the lake for 3 hours. Caught about 35 walleye each. Mostly 3+ lbs. couldn’t keep them off the line at times.

We visited friends at Pigeon Lake this long weekend. It was unbelievable how the walleye were biting. First catch ever for the lilman. Catch and release only unless you had tags. One of the best days ever! 6 of us caught over 50 fish!! WOW!

Battle lake just a few km down the road is more of a pike lake catch and release only but pretty hard not to catch. Plus much larger walleye than Pigeon.

by Markeemark on Jun. 25, 2019

If your looking to do some pike fishing I’d suggest Wizard lake that’s a good pike fishery.

by Markeemark on Jun. 25, 2019

Pigeon is excellent for walleye fishing. I wouldn’t consider it a pike destination I’ve never personally caught any sizeable pike on the lake. Plus pike are C&R at pigeon.

I would like to take my son out on a little camping / pike fishing lake. Is this a worthwhile lake ? Are there better options near by ?

by Markeemark on Jun. 23, 2019

Awesome walleye fishing on the hump around 20ft of water. Water still nice and clean so far.
