There should be more game wardens under cover--- presently the ones there are now are spread pretty thin and each has a large area to cover--- there's always the Report A Poacher and you don't have to give your name if you don't want to--- there is also cash rewards in some cases. Anyhow good legal fishing everyone and put them back
by Chips1984 on Jun. 26, 2016
Because to many people are taking the mature and trophy fish from the lake. It's the Asians and Indians that take everything they catch and ruining the lakes in my opinion.

I talked with fish biologist last fall he said Keho numbers had fallen and that there will be changes in 2017 for Keho but he didn't elaborate

Open water around the breaks in the berms where you can fish from shore.
Ice is not safe, was rotten and no more than 6" north side of lake on Sunday morning. I talked to the one guy left on the ice that slept in his hut Saturday night to wake up to open water on either side of his hut, I stuck around for a few minutes to make sure he got the hut out of there without falling through.

by Sonny on Jul. 13, 2014
Fished most of the day got a couple of small ones but my son got a beauty 12 pounder. The weeds in the shallower areas are almost to the top of the water and you can catch a couple of pounds every cast but the main thing was I got to spend a day with my son. Good luck everybody

by Nviro on May. 29, 2014
I was out fishing on Sunday and saw a guy catch a fish and practically run away from the outlet. I was too far away to see what it was or get a plate # but the only reason to catch it and dash is poaching I figure. Keep your eyes out for a guy driving an older red Buick coupe. Let's get that poacher nailed!!

Iced 4. Good morning with an 8pounder and a 10pounder C&R. Guy about 20 yards from me iced two 12pounders back to back. Lots of smaller pike seen today but they were all pretty lazy and hardly ever bit but a lot of fun to watch through the ice. Ice was just about 23" thick at the launch. I haven't explored the lake much in winter because there are a lot of areas with bad ice and some open patches but I haven't ever seen any burbs or whites or walleye for that matter. I'm not fishing deep or at any ledges...still no burbs and I often stay to dark.

I've been walking on the ice for the past 5 weeks at Keho. The canal as normal this time of year is almost fished out. The whites aren't coming up the canal as much as winter groes wso the Pike have less of a reason to as well. The rest of the lake which is accessible from many many points is still good to fish. Google earth the lake and look for access points, the lake is pretty flat with really no underwater character so it doesn't really matter here you fish it. Fish are still swimming so as long a find 6 to 10 FOW you will find fish on Keho. I've fished this lake for 40 years and there are days no matter where you fish that you will go home empty handed.
