Have a cabin here for 25 years. Perch and Walleye gone now. Overfished!! Only lake that produced and would see 100+ trucks keeping 6 inch perch.
All done now.
Another AB lake collapsed. No stocking since the 80's when the walleye caught on and were kept due to the tag system
Way to go Ab government. Thanks for the great memories.

Can anyone tell me why the water level on the north side of the lake keeps going down? It can rain out there for a wee straight! And have 3 feet of snow in the winter and the water level is still going down!!
by Coldone on Jun. 16, 2014
Spent the day out there.. spotted one jack on the bottom.. clean lake.. very few fish. But it could have been my technique..

The big perch aren't gone they will come back in cycles. Try moving to deeper water I still manage to catch a few big ones although they aren't the size they were about 3 years ago I have no doubt that they will bounce back.
by Schnidy on Feb. 20, 2014
So I went to my usual spot for perch drop the camera and all day tons of small spotted tail shiners were stealing my maggots! And seen very few perch! Is this a bad sign for a lake or what?

by Cubr on Jun. 24, 2012
We were out for about 5 hours and caught some fairly decent walleye and quite a few of them too. We were not set up for Pertch but looking in the clear water we had seen tons of 6 to 8 inch chasing our jigs to the boat. Always have a good time at the lake ,we are catch and release fisher family.
by Rico on May. 24, 2012

by Unclejay on Aug. 14, 2011
Not a bad couple hours, we fished for about 4 hours infront of the shallow bay on the northeast side, caught 6 walleye and two jacks. Nothing huge but always fun to catch
by S the fisherman on Jul. 29, 2011
Good perch 3-9 inches, don't expect anything over 8-10 inches. Very light nibbles and slow fishing. Limit is 5 heard of poachers being caught by binocular. Check regs before you fish perch as there is a high fishing pressure.
by D97 on Jul. 4, 2011
Not a bad couple of hours. I landed a pike ( about 20") and 3 walleye ( average size about 10") I released them all. I fished from shore at the provincial park. Walk out a bit and there is a drop off with weed bed. Good
