I did the hike a couple years ago with a 15 lb pack. The hike kicked my ass. Very steep. I was always saying to myself, "its gonna flatten out." and it didn't haha. Not until you get to the top, have to cross over and decent into the lake area. Check out the elevation change. I would recommend doing the hike with a pack before trying with the heavy gear

Fished this lake last Saturday. Lots of trout jumping. Brought home 3 for dinner. Delicious! Well worth the hike.

We fished this on Saturday in the late afternoon until about 6 p.m. Lots of bites on the spoons but only 1 small brook trout caught and released. Beautiful spot but a significant hike to get there.

Try fishing this lake in the morning I don't know how the fishing is at night . If you fly fish bring hipwaders! You will need them as the brush is close to the waters shore.
