Was there yesterday a day after the stocking and had a great time despite the wind. Caught and released about 15 little rainbows. Pelicans were having a feast as well.

Was there on the weekend. Talked with Fish and wildlife and they confirmed there was and algae bloom in the late summer which did kill off a bunch. However said they were still catching in late fall before ice went on. Said the pelicans did more damage in the spring right after they stocked

Dec. 12, 2018 - Wondering how thick the ice is on Trout Pond. Has anyone been ice-fishing there recently? Is there an algae warning for the pond? PJ wants to know.

was there aug 10 and not even a bite in 2 hrs and 3 rods (wife and kids). We're all good anglers. according to my wild alberta they stocked 11 000 bows on March 14. I know there was a winter kill but stocking was in March. Just really curious what is going on.

Went out April 10. Probably fished out of Cath-em holes - thanks. But not a fish. Winter killed - what a shamefull waste. Amazing what one Aerator would do for a pond this size.

Anyone no if ice is off yet ???

by The Cobra on Jan. 31, 2017

Went out fishing today didn't have much luck for the morning and the rest of the day. On the way out some people told me that Pink power bait and anything pink will work in the pond. I tried cheese slice worms and shrimp and nothing no bites. I drilled a hole by shore and it's 24" thick and I drilled another hole near the middle of the lake and it's 18" thick so if you stick closer to the shore it's the safest to go around the pond you'll be fine.

How thick is the ice, and how has the fishing been recently?

Fished this dam for 11 hours, 1 fish. Very dissapointing day, way overfished. The gophers enjoyed the bait more then any fish there. If you enjoy fishing this is your spot, if you enjoy catching continue driving.
