WHAT IS THAT BIG SQUARE THING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE

by Lakechaser on Aug. 27, 2014
The sign posted at the lake says winter kill and it was restocked since. Unless it was restocked with some 16" fish, goodness the young ones grow fast. Large ones were almost jumping onto our pontoon boats for two hours yesterday afternoon. They were very fussy about deit. Great time, elevated heart rate during the rise.

Caught several large trout in the 20" range. Was a good day, however, that loon is relentless! Definitely bringing a high powered super soaker next time!

Spent 4 hours here today, caught two 12". One was taken right off the line 10' away from the boat by the loon, the second one was taken within seconds after I released it, that loon is like a torpedo.

Watch out for the killer loon. When you hook up he charges over looking for a free meal. He is very agressive

Fished the lake yesterday and while it's not at pre winter kill fishing there are some large survivors. On the water 3 hours, 7 caught, 3 of them 3lbs plus. Biggest was 22%u201D. Still a great little lake!
