Never been to slave lake before and my daughter and I are planning a trip up this weekend. Can anyone tell me the best way to access lake coming from Edmonton I'm afraid I don't know any of the nickname locations used so road names would be helpful. Thanks a bunch.

I've got a zodiac and I'm looking for a place to launch away from the busy boat launches between High Prairie and Faust. Any suggestions? It's a zodiac. I don't need a boat launch but need decent access.

Spruce Point Park - Steady walleye bite throughout the day. Better in the morning than in the evening with my experience. Caught a few 22 inchers in about 8-6 feet depth, and a bunch of small ones around 4-5 feet. The odd pike here and there.
