From the boat launch you're looking at a mile or two I'm guessing quite the walk to get to Cut Bank probably better off going to Shaw's point and walking out

Current Alberta record for walleye is 15lb 8oz caught in 2000 in the pembina river. I've seen 7 - 8 lb walleye come out of Slave (VERY rarely) average is 2.5 - 3.5 lbs in the west basin. 2.5 - 4lbs in the east basin. I'd love to see a 20lb walleye! That would smash the Alberta record. Anything 10lbs + is a trophy walleye. And the few females that live 30 + years and get to that size should be released to keep spawning.

First of all troll, I never once said I was "all that good". I just said 20 pound walleye is unrealistic. That world record class, my personal best was out of slave and it was 37" walleye 12.4 pounds

Ricky Bobby Connor2002 is still right even though you have a solid point but by the time the paper work gets filled out it normally ends up taking about 8 - 16 months for every thing to go through. Plus maybe if you could fish better you might catch one in your life

Good fish tail Connor, I know there are monsters in there. But don't you think if someone caught a 20 pounder they would want it recorded, even if realesed?

Star Star Star Star Star

by Slavelakeslayer on Jun. 1, 2017

Connor2002 is right about that and there are monsters in thier

Star Star Star Star Star

by connor2002 on Jun. 1, 2017

Yes the alberta record is 15.8 pounds but the anger of the year for walleye has been as high as 21pounds

Star Star Star Star Star

by NorthernYaker on May. 23, 2017

Lol... nice try, but that's world record class fish. 20lb pike is believable. If you lie make it somewhat believable.

Can you still access the provincial park with a 4x4 or is it to broken up?

Star Star Star Star Star

by Booee Head on Mar. 23, 2016

Fished for 6 hours on Saturday. Overall slow action. Did manage a 34" pike and 22" walleye. 1 perch.

Star Star Star Star Star

by AB54321 on Mar. 9, 2016

Access is ok, close to needing an extension (3? ft of ice), but fishing is poor. 2 days - 4 guys - 50 pike on the ice, not a single legal keeper. Slow walleye, no burbot. Steady downward trend of fishing size / numbers. Lake can't keep up.

July 24/15. Fishing is slow . Tried depths from 14 to 21 feet today. No luck. Talked to a local who said he has heard that 10 ft is where they are.
