January 21, driving on lake is hard, lots of snow and flood water. If you are driving make sure you have a shovel, you will need it. 18”-22” of ice.

Just got back from Buck. About 16in of ice. A little flood water in places. Lots of vehicles on the ice. No fish in 4hrs though. Need to find a honey hole on that lake. Had good luck fishing in the summer.

If there was 11in on Dec.20 I would say there is probably 18in by now with this cold snap so you should be good to drive on there for sure.

July 20 2020 . The lake is looking real good. People are happy. The slot size is allowing us to enjoy fishing again. Pike are also looking better this year. Please enjoy but don't come for groceries your legal limit please.perch are talked about around camp fires but we're not complaining about the bones.the search continues

Was out on the 26. Drove on at the provincial park, found ice to vary from 12-17 inches. Top 4-8 inches are white, the rest is solid.

Hello? Anyone know if trucks are driving on the lake?

by Mach1 on Jan. 6, 2020
Was out yesterday. North end, west of Calhoun Bay. Ice is garbage. 3-4 inches of snow cover on 2 inches of white ice followed by 2-3 inches of water on 8-10 inches of hard black ice. Depending on where you walk, the 2 inches of white ice collapses under your foot.

by luvgail on Jan. 4, 2020
Are people driving trucks on Buck Lake yet?
by TWestlin on Dec. 29, 2019
can anyone report if they have shacks and trucks on lake. Was out on the north west end a week ago. Found there to be 2 inches of ice then 4 inches of water and another 10 to 12 inches of ice

An absolute awesome lake for 13+” jumbo perch on open water and hard water 5-8’ is optimal depth in the winter and along the weed beds in the summer my biggest to date is 14.5”

I would like to take my son out on a little camping / pike fishing lake. Is this a worthwhile lake ? Are there better options near by ?
by iFish Guest on Jun. 25, 2019
No not fished out, just poor management
by iFish Guest on Jun. 19, 2019
Has this lake been fished out?

by Dslug on Mar. 15, 2019
I finally found out why nobody talks about fishing this lake it because nobody does...was out at buck the other day and could only drive out to where someone has a shack out 50 yds or so and that was it, no trails leading out to fishing hot spots or anywhere else

Was at Calhoun Bay last week and almost had our boat stolen. The suspects were driving a Grey van (possibly a Toyota) with an Orange Zodiak on the roof, they flew through the campground then parked in front of where the boats were parked on shore. They untied the boat and pushed it away from shore possibly going to pick it up in the middle of the lake as apparently this is happening extremely often at Pigeon Lake right now. Be aware when camping anywhere in that area as there is losers around stealing stuff!
