What do you expect? Azians fished it out!

by NBK213 on Sep. 26, 2020

Not a fish to be seen anywhere in the pond, so disappointing for a stocked pond.

Fished here for about four hours on Friday July 3. Lots of nibbles. But no actual caught fish. Tons of people out. Nice spot. Very loud with traffic noise on 1A.

Went here with a family friend and his two kids just after dinner time. Had great fun catching some small stocked trout. Right now is great to take young ones or anyone learning as they'll bite at almost anything but you still need to set the hook to get them on. We watched others catch easily with worms, spinners and even fly rods.

Caught two small whitefish? In a 1 hour span of time on the north side. I did not know whitefish we’re stocked here? Expecting rainbows?

There for about 3 hours and not a bite. Didn't see anyone else catch anything either. It's close to the highway and rail line so it's loud.

Lake is about 6 feet deep everywhere except near the north shore. Lake only got 800 trout this year and gets over 50 anglers/day on the weekend. Aint no one gonna catch a thing.

This pond isn't very good. 3 of us couldn't catch anything in 4 hours. A few bites though. Nice area but too many people. Maybe fished out by now. Really disappointing.

Good action today, biting on spinners. Caught a half dozen rainbows today, kids were ecstatic! There was another couple there that caught a few as well. Worth it as we were in the pouring rain. Looks like it was just stalked, the fish we caught ranged from about 8" to a couple bigger ones around 12". Delicious I must say

Caught 10 fish in about a hour when it was first stocked but it really slows down in June, theres fish but they don't bite. I usually go to the Bow river instead, there's usually no people, the fish are more willing to bite and the fish are usually a tad bigger than the rainbows in the pond, I like the look of brown trout better :P

Was out there today for about 3 hrs. Saw at least 10 fish jump, but although there were many people fishing I didn't see anyone get a bite. I sure didn't. I can see how this would be a nice pond once it gets stocked in the spring.

Lots of people fishing here today. Never seen 1 person catch 1 fish. Seen 1 dead fish near shore (14-15 inches). Also seen tonnes of garbage. Clean up after yourselves!!

by jonnybravo40 on Jul. 22, 2015

Lots of rainbows. Use flashy spinners/spoons. Night crawlers for bait.

I caught 31 trout in 1.5 hours on this pond. Use a Mepps size 2 or a 1/4 oz five of diamonds. I was on a float tube. Shore fishes and fly fishers were having no luck.

Caught 12 fish in two hours yesterday. Only one was bigger than 10" so I only kept the one. Stocked fish are 9" or less typically so they're quite small. Use a small hook size 10 or less with some bait on it and you'll catch a fish. I see people there all the time using these hooks bigger than the fish's head.

Fished there 2-3 hrs on 11 & 13 May. On 11th there were about 12 fishing. A few very small ones were caught in middle by canoeists. I had 1 solid bite the whole time. Had nice time watching bald eagles tho.

Went yesterday evening around 7pm. Few people were fishing. I saw few fishes jumping, but no bite. There were lots of weed at the bottom of the pond. For the shore casting angler, what type of setup is effective in this pond?

Had a nice day. One fish ate my power bait but I couldn't land it. Grrr.
