Anyone been out here lately????
by Ride rank on Jan. 4, 2017
Alright thank you very much for the info, what bait do you use if you don't mind sharing?
by ifliefish on Jan. 3, 2017
Fishing hit and miss, last time out landed a dozen rainbows and a few brookies. This lake looks more like the Walmart parking lot these days. Was out last week mid week and there was no lie over 30 trucks parked in the parking lot and probably a dozen on the lake which blows my mind considering it's a foot access lake only.
by Ride rank on Jan. 3, 2017
How's the fishing going? Anyone have any info? Been wanting to try this lake for a long time but it's a 3 hour drive for me any information would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone been out recently that could tell me if you think it will be safe to drive on this coming weekend Feb. 20??
by swapdonk on Jan. 29, 2016

by Mikey69 on Jan. 27, 2016
Bin thinking of comeing down to the lake.couple hour drive. Should I be ready to walk on? Or can you drive on.
by Jacquard24 on Jan. 18, 2016
Ok day fishing had a couple brooks saw some small Browns and some decent rainbows. Terrible luck from the lake lost a phone and left my tackle box I'm thinking probably in the parking lot. Poorluck to have lost a phone through the ice and if anyone's seen my tackle box that would be nice I know that's a long shot. 16 inches of ice. Give me a ring if you have my tackle not hoping for anything. Blue Plano should have three licenses in it. 5872231665

Beautiful day on the lake today no sign of a big brown but still great to be out.
by jordonz28 on Jan. 18, 2016
What is the legal length to keep the trout here? Is it a foot?
by Ganjadiggs on Jan. 17, 2016
I'm hoping that they are talking about the other birch lake with pike and whites
by Jacquard24 on Jan. 16, 2016
I have heard many reports of pike and burbot being caught going up tomorrow for Brookies hopefully no pike nothing like an invasive species to ruin a good fishery
by geedub on Jan. 12, 2016
Because of reports like that, this website's getting lamer and lamer
by quickrelease on Jan. 12, 2016
I was out last weekend, far north end of lake , spring running into lake there. Fishing was great, big whites, pike , ling, 10 walleye, I never caught so many fish in all my days.
by OnTheFly1984 on Jan. 12, 2016
Apparently there have been reports of pike being caught at birch. Can anyone confirm wether or not this is true?
by Athlete fisherman on Jan. 6, 2016
You are allowed to keep 3 trout any species combined but only 1 rainbow. I believe that's what the regulations are .
by Dedo on Jan. 6, 2016
The fish r very good eating
by petetherocker on Jan. 3, 2016
you are NEVER allowed 5 of each species.
by Jayjayjay on Jan. 3, 2016
And is it true you should not eat the fish out of this lake? Lol
It says on this your not allowed to keep any. I need to pick up a set of regs.
In the mean time does anybody know if you are? Because someone told me 5 of each.....
by Dedo on Jan. 1, 2016
Really good day on the lake today 9-10 inches of ice. Trucks were driving on it all day and the fish were biting good day
by Buddhameister on Dec. 20, 2015
Ice good but noticed thinning about 200' south of main island. Bites periodic. Lots of fishing pressure through week.
Any one know if the foot access only rule for the lake is valid only during the summer? Been seeing sledders and quaders, regularly.
by jordonz28 on Dec. 19, 2015
How busy is this lake during the weekends? Looking for a nice quiet place to catch some fish.

by Uncle patty on Jun. 18, 2015

by Cajed1 on May. 23, 2015
Not much of one. More of a car toper, kayak, float tube launch. No room to turn trailer around at bottom of steep hill.

Is there a launch? I have a 15 foot flat bottom would like to get out there this weekend.

Hello I'm from brooks and I would like to now how far it is from here because it sounds like a place to do some good fly fishing
by SpinnerMike on Apr. 29, 2015
NOT ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT WATERCRAFT. The place was beautiful with an amazing variety of bird life and rising trout, but even in my chest waders I had a hard time getting around, let alone casting far enough into fish territory. Nice quiet place though.
by Rjnickerson on Apr. 12, 2015

by B10_bingo on Apr. 9, 2015

by Lakechaser on Mar. 16, 2015
Birch Lake is not so big that you can't walk to a great spot to ice fish. There are lakes for driving on and some we should not take for granted. Birch lake is one of those sweet little lakes. Our children are watching, teach them well.
by Mangler on Mar. 13, 2015
Fishing was slow. Lake has about 7" of frozen overflow ice and about 14" solid ice below that at the North end.
Went out today
by B10_bingo on Mar. 12, 2015
How is the ice conditions? Anyone have any luck lately?
by Mr. Harley Larson on Mar. 11, 2015
Since when are you not allowed to drive on birch, I've fished for 15 years. Is it cause they put airator on? I've never herd that before
by Playharddiehappy on Mar. 1, 2015
Good day of fishing, started out a bit slow but we finally figured out how deep to place our hooks. A few vehicles on the lake pretty slushy under the snow one 4x4 was stuck for a while.
by New fish on Feb. 18, 2015
Wamac you're not allowed to drive on Birch, though some people do anyways. If you don't want to walk, bring a snowmobile or an ATV. Just be respectful of other fishermen.

Planning to fish here some time next weekend and have never fished before, it would be awsome if someone could help me out and share some spots where the bite is hot!
by Jakinator on Jun. 27, 2014
Thought I'd seen it all until a guy showed up with his belly boat, equipped with a 6 rod holder(yes he was carrying 6 rods on it) and a fish finder system strapped to the side of his belly boat.
Lots of action today on the lake, caught 1 brown and 15 or so rainbows. All about 10"s so nothing worth keeping but if it's not fished out, may be worth a trip back before fall.
by vinnie on Jun. 21, 2014
Allowed to keep 3 trout, of which 1 may be rainbow or the choice of keeping 1 of each or 3 of one species. Some people catch some really nice sized and nice numbers of fish.
fished here 2 weeks ago and caught 3 trout in two hours. Didn't have to worry about bait. They chased a small silver spinner. Fishing to the right of the boat launch along the trail off shoreline. water was 3-4 feet deep and very clear. casting off shore and bringing back lure gradually produced the best results. first two fish were brook trout and the last one was a rainbow. Released the brookies and kept the rainbow. fish were 11-12 inches. Nice lake ,healthy fishing.
by Fishalong on Jun. 10, 2014
Fished here for 2 days nice trout . Would be nice if there was a better place to dock a boat, all in all a good fishing hole, keep up the good work . It's a pleasure to go to a place and catch a nice fish.

do they have a boat lunch on the lake and is it a electric motor lake only
by New fish on May. 24, 2014
