Very shallow from the dock. It's deep overall but with the weeds it's only a foot or two from the dock out about 15 or 20 feet where there appears to be a drop off. Pretty much impossible to cast a line from the dock without getting your lure snagged in the weeds. Btw there's a $10 lure with a metal leader about 10 feet away on a lily pad. Go nutz if you can get it. Take a boat, kayak, wader, or pontoon and you'll be fine. Didn't see any fish.

Tried it today, doesn't look deep enough to have survived the winter. Little minnows swimming around, that was the only sign of fish.

Was here today, lots of little fish, nothing bigger off the dock, so I never unloaded the float. Looks like a fun lake for winter? Maybe will have to try again this summer???

Rat lake is a very small pothole lake that doesn't winterkill. Some large brook trout reside here even though they don't stock it every year. Very good ice fishing here . Not crowded. Not many know about this lake or don't think its fishable.
