by RoyalStimulator on Jul. 2, 2018

Perch probably died with the winterkill... Good riddance as they are invasive... Saw a bunch of dead ones the day the ice came off... And again it's trout not trouts... Lol

Beaumont was only stocked with 500 trout this year. So if you are not a child learning to fish or a non c&r adult maybe try Leduc that was stocked with 2400 trout. Check out the 2018 stocking report for Alberta.

Went out last night. Caught nothing but little ones were giving splashy rises. The bigger ones were sipping something just under the surface. I bet they were taking midge pupae.

A few fish were jumping, most likely last year's stock. I do not think they have stocked it yet this year. Nothing caught just good conversation with people out enjoying the evening. Fly fishing C&R!

by RoyalStimulator on May. 7, 2018

No, Pleasure Island

Beaumont has Brookies in it?

by RoyalStimulator on May. 5, 2018

Got more than I deserved at Pleasure Island yesterday.... Browns, Brookies and some small Bows, so it must have been stocked too, Browns were last years models... Only the Bows were new.... Only one type of fly worked though... Had to have an eye.

Nine in a small area is a lot, and I didn't see any last year, and we were out when the shallows were clear but the rest of the pond was not....but I'm just posting what I saw, seems like winterkill to me... And it was whirling disease in two of the hatcheries...

This lake has never winter kill. But there are allways a few dead fish this time of the year...ice fishing here was fantastic..landed a massive brown trout and s few differnt size rainbows and a few perch from dec to march....hopefully this year they will put a full stock of fish in..last year it was stocked in may but only hafe of normal due yo a illness ..sory i forgot the name of the illness...looking forward to start fly fishing...

by RoyalStimulator on Apr. 29, 2018

Some spots opening up in the shallow end, nine dead ones. Heartbreaking, probably shouldn't have dumped the little ones in the fall... Two year old Browns, rest were little Rainbows... Hope it's not total winterkill

Been out twice with no luck, any advice? Been using salted minnows and a small flasher jig on my rod, then either worms or minnows on my tip up. Tried the east side near the small island with no luck

You can use gas power augers or hand augers....

by Osprey_93 on Jan. 15, 2018

Can you use a gas powered ice auger to drill your holes or does it have to be manual power considering it is in a residential area?

by Swizzle on Jan. 8, 2018

Fished Saturday evening. Caught a 12in Rainbow along the east side (released of course). Worked the whole east side from 3pm to 6pm had a couple bites but that was about it.
