Easy access, to pond from parking lot. good for kids to try ice fishing . close proximity to Edmonton for after school fishing. Ice was 12"+ think. easy to hand auger 6" hole. no bites but we were only there for an hour.

To Orvisman..looks like we got the reverse thing going on..lol..iam not catching any Brown trouts..just Rainbows ..good size,s..my friend landed a few small and big rainbows and 1 large 22 inch Brown trout...all on worms and bobers or rigs.
by Orvisman on Sep. 26, 2016
I was wondering if anyone caught any rainbows? I haven't caught any in the last 6 times I've been out. Brown trout fishing is good, Especially if you stay late. I wonder if the little rainbows get fished out in the summer
by Donnie D on Sep. 25, 2016
spent the day with my daughter..we fished for 4 hours and had tones of hits but only landed 1 fat rainbow..
saw a few trout,s being caught in the past few days including some big brown trouts ..all on worms and bobber ..
by Fishin'96 on Sep. 17, 2016

HI ..I DO MOST OF MY RABBIT HUNTING AT ATIM (NEAR SPRUCE GROVE HIGHWAY 779..OR GENNESSE..but if you wanna here a funny but true story..i was fishing at 4seasons just a few days ago and 3 rabbits ran past me..lol..
by Fishin'96 on Sep. 10, 2016
Hey Donnie I know this is the beaumont pond forum but I was fishing with you early on in the year and remeber you talking about snaring rabbits. Ive been looking online for crown land to hunt on around edmonton could you help me out if you know a place or two thanks
by Donnie D on Sep. 5, 2016
NOT TO BAD THIS TIME AROUND..LOTS OF HITS AND MANAGE TO LAND A FEW SMALL RAINBOWS ON RIGS AND WORMS
by Orvisman on Aug. 26, 2016
Caught it on the southwest shore across from the island. I think the fishing will become better in September as the days cool and the fish start feeding on backswimmers.
by Donnie D on Aug. 25, 2016
nicely done Orvisman..congrats on the Brown trout.so far this year i only got 4 Brown trouts ( all under 10 inchs)..
by Orvisman on Aug. 25, 2016
There are some nice browns in this pond. Caught a 16 incher a few nights ago on a bugger.
by Donnie D on Aug. 21, 2016
i have seen the fish cop,s at 4season,s a lot this year..i fish there allmost every weekend.
by firstname.lastname@example.org on Aug. 19, 2016
Conservation your right about people keeping everything they catch it makes me sick.I love your catch and release policy I release every fish I catch except 1 12inch rainbow my 6year old caught who took the hook to deep and was bleeding when he brought him in. Try ice fishing Beaumont this winter we have had good luck provided people leave any fish to grow. Also i did not see 1 warden this year the 20 times I was there.Budget cuts wardens spread to thin across Alberta and more so people keeping to many fish with the excuse they only die over winter not true punch a couple holes through the ice this winter you will be amazed.
by Donnie D on Aug. 17, 2016
had a few hit,s on worms and bobber fishing but still got skunked in the end of the day...
by Conservation on Aug. 16, 2016
The birds are not the problem...several of us have watched many people fishing Beaumont taking way more fish than there legal limit. 10 fisherman 5plus fish per day...do the math. Fisheries has to encourage catch and release for adults and keep and eat for kids.
by email@example.com on Aug. 14, 2016
Beaumont pond is great except for the cormeronts the large black birds you see on the top of the light polls on the island. They literally destroy a stocked pond in a few months eating rainbows 10 inches and bigger. my wife and i watched this over and over. I hate them more then blue herons. 6 birds times 3-4 fish per day do the math. Alberta fish and game has to discourage these black birds from nesting and returning to beaumont pond.
by Orvisman on Aug. 13, 2016
Also try small chronomid pupa just below the surface when fish are rising.
by Flyfishaddict on Aug. 13, 2016
I think Jake has the idea. Try a Grffiths gnat in size 18-22. Come mid September the fishing will pick up with backswimmers and water boatmen.
by Donnie D on Aug. 12, 2016
tryed again..got skunked again..dry fly,s and wet fly,s had no luck..lot,s of big jumper,s but they just not interested in anything right now.
by MitoMan on Aug. 11, 2016
5 lines for 2 hours and we could not catch any fish. Tried dry flies, powerbait, small maggots on a hook, and a small spinner. Fish are jumping around but no bites. Not sure what would work here
by Donnie D on Aug. 2, 2016
in my 10 years of fishing here at 4season,s i have never seen or caught a perch...only rainbows and browns (browns for 2 years)..i did land a few gold fish over the years on hook and worms..lol
by Jake on Aug. 2, 2016
I have been pretty successful with Griffiths gnats between 830 pm and until it gets dark. But that was about a month ago when the weeds weren't out of control. Also I caught a perch on a black crystal bugger.... I didn't know there was perch in there. Has anyone else caught perch?
by Flyfishaddict on Aug. 1, 2016
Probably rising for midges. If that is the case, the trout will be very picky.
by Donnie D on Aug. 1, 2016
see lot,s of big jumper,s but they dont seem to be hungry ..i have been getting skunked big time..3 days in a row..
by Donnie D on Jul. 23, 2016
holly molly..i go away for 2 weeks and when i come back and fish at 4season,s the weeds have grown out of control..lol..very hard to find a open spot now to fish from without trying to fish past the weed,s...seeing lot,s of big jumpers but i got skunked big time..

by jchinny13 on Jul. 8, 2016
Was at pond last night with the family (3 kids and 2 adults) ... lots of fish jumping and each kid caught 9-11" Rainbows last night. Lots of action all night ... Great time family time
by Donnie D on Jun. 30, 2016
landed a nice fat 15 inch rainbow ....
by lux604 on Jun. 30, 2016
No surface movement last night, however I caught a perch right before I left for home at 10:15pm.
we were skunked after 3 hours tuesday as well.
what is everyone using for bait/lures/set-ups?
by DwayneL on Jun. 28, 2016
Not a comment on the fishing. I live next to the pond. Awesome to walk 10 minutes and spend a few hours fishing. I am angry. That those big black long necked birds that are not from our country live there. I watched one bird for about 6 hours. It. Caught and swallowed 4 trout. That's 12 a day for the 3 birds if that's all they catch. 360 fish a month. Why not capture and remove or???
by Donnie D on Jun. 25, 2016
fishing has slowed down ..only landed 8 trout in 3 days.. time to switch off from green 52 Buicks to dry fly,s (foam beetles)..
by Donnie D on Jun. 18, 2016
got that Bluegrass musical thing going on this weeken so the place is crowded ..But still landed 3 (small) brown trout,s and 2 Rainbows.
by Donnie D on Jun. 13, 2016
fishing was ok ..got 6 in all..but wow those winds were awesome !! kind of like hurricane force at times..lol
by Donnie D on Jun. 5, 2016
kind of slow this time around..only landed 3 rainbow,s..1was12inch,s the others were 8inchs..
by Donnie D on May. 30, 2016

There is a website address on the tag. Just fill in survey i.e. date, color of tag etc. Thats it.
by AcK on May. 28, 2016
Lots of people fishing today, I Caught two on small leech fly, There is a sign near the lake about Tagged fish, I wished that I read beyond that ,as it turns out that I have one fish which was tagged.. What are we supposed to do about tagged fish?
by Donnie D on May. 28, 2016
spent the afternoon with my daughter fishing..we got 2 small rainbows (catch and release)...had lots of hits ...weather was very nice
by Conservation on May. 27, 2016
Went there for the first time this year...it was a parking lot of people fishing and taking everything they could land....Very Very Sad._Tonight I saw a guy with a link chain full of fish...of course it was his and his buddies....but the buddy he was with never took any home._It would be great if people were only allowed to keep one and then just enjoy catch and release. Too bad it won't last long at the rate people are treating it like the meat section in the stores.
by Donnie D on May. 23, 2016
hey nick ya that was most likley me..i was useing 52buick wet flys on the spinrod.. sorry i didnt see ya ..
by Fishin'96 on May. 23, 2016
Hey Donnie it nick i caught i couple big browns by you at the start of the season using the rainbow little cleo. I think I saw you nailing the rainbowa on the otherside of the pond last week, Im not sure if it was you tho becauae you werent fly fishing. I pnly caught one lol using a worm and bob you caught like 8 lol what were you using??
by Donnie D on May. 21, 2016
why would anyone want to fabricate their stories??? Its a great place to fish..to learn to fly fish or to teach kids to fish..it is loaded with Rainbows and Brown trout...i have my good days and have my slow days..
by zyggy on May. 21, 2016
Wouldee, I assume he was trolling? But who knows this app seems to attract people who can't help but fabricate stories.
by wouldee on May. 21, 2016
Lol at last comment. They clip a different fin for each year stocked. It gives an easy visual identification of age of fish.
by gazertin on May. 20, 2016
Went stock trout are transported they grab each other by the fins to not slosh around
by CrazyPhD on May. 20, 2016
Anyone knows the reason why the fins of the fish are cut? It seems the trouts there do not have dorsal fins, which is wired.
by KrazyKraka007 on May. 16, 2016
Went for about 1 1/2 hours and caught 5 fish... Including a bull trout? It defently wast a brown or rainbow. Just used a slider weight onto a ~14" leader with some of that dough powerbait.

by Me1969 on May. 8, 2016
There are Perch... They were spotted on camera over the winter
by zyggy on May. 8, 2016
There is no perch.
by Me1969 on May. 7, 2016
I suspect the minnows are a result of the genius that put Perch in it
by wouldee on May. 6, 2016
Fished the entire pond. No bites, saw no action on the surface at all. Did see a healthy school of minnows circling close to shore. They have not stocked pond yet.
by zyggy on May. 3, 2016
The stocking report for 2016 does not indicate Beaumont pond was stocked yet.
by biteless on May. 3, 2016
I was out for a few hours in the heat of the day today and not a single bite between myself and two others who were there too. Saw a couple schools of tiny fish so stands to reason there are, or were, at least one male and one female fish in the pond but highly doubt it has been stocked yet this year.
by Matthew5660 on May. 1, 2016
Was stocked 10 days ago
by Fishin'96 on Apr. 30, 2016
I agree that catching and releasing is goos, i put all the ones ive caught back. Zyggy there is no five pounders but they are probably double the size of when they stocked them last year like 14 to 16 inches. Anyways does anyone know if its stocked yet I wanna take the girlfriend shes never been fishing before so i wanna wait till ita stocked so itll be easier for her.
by zyggy on Apr. 29, 2016
I will require picture evidence of that 5 pounder.
by Pacmanfisher on Apr. 28, 2016
Just a note for the non believers. I know from experience from buying into private ponds in the past that trout will double in weight in the first 1.5-2 months after being introduced into a pond as long as there's ample food for them,so not uncommon for there to be fish that size after one year. Good on you guys for the both catching and releasing, it's good to see!
by becks on Apr. 28, 2016
Is it stocked?
Donnie D, as I know Leduc reservoir is stocked. Hope you good luck.
by zyggy on Apr. 26, 2016
Weight is not subjective, it is objectively verifiable by using a scale. Guessing weight is subjective.
There is no point asking for length if people are just going to start guessing.
by Patzaz on Apr. 25, 2016
Weight is too subjective. Go by inches.
by Fishin'96 on Apr. 25, 2016
I caught a couple of browns out here about a couple weeks ago and they were about 1 to 1.5 pound range.
by pwned555 on Apr. 22, 2016
Donnie D you're just plain wrong and might need to readjust all your fish stories. It's impossible for a brown to get that big in one year and they have never stocked them in that lake before last year. I have seen a 3 pound rainbow caught out of there but they've been stocking those for years.
by Donnie D on Apr. 21, 2016
lol well guess you might want to catch some of the bigger browns then..my report is accurate thank you ...
by zyggy on Apr. 21, 2016
That's accurate. I caught a 14" brown and it was 1lbs.
by petetherocker on Apr. 21, 2016
post below is crap...The Alberta Conservation Association stocked 1000 - 8" (inches) long browns last spring. They are currently (at best) 1 pound, give or take a couple of ounces.
by Donnie D on Apr. 19, 2016
let,s put it this way..The brown trout here are much bigger then last year..i saw a few already that were over or around the 3 to 5 pound mark .. It is nice to see people practicing catch and release ..all most every brown trout i have seen being caught in these past 2 weeks were released back in to the water...but sad to say that i have not yet landed any ..i have been getting skunked ha ha..my friend and i were useing 5 of dimonds and he will be landed them 1 after another..but not me..lol...ohhwell that is ok..i just enjoy getting out for some fishing if i catch something or not.
by sedubius on Apr. 19, 2016
Donnie, what do you consider to be a big brown out of here?
by Donnie D on Apr. 16, 2016
well so far i am off to a real bad start at 4seasons..watch my friends land some big brown and rainbow trouts but nothing for me..lol... got word that this lake is gonna be stocked very soon .
by Donnie D on Apr. 12, 2016
thnks Patzaz..i will
by Patzaz on Apr. 12, 2016
Try backswimmers. They are active in the spring. Not as much as fall though
so far i have had no luck on fly,s..but then again i normally dont go fly fishing till may1st so early april fly fishing is knew to me..
by LRD V8R on Apr. 12, 2016
Hey Donnie D. No foam beetle yet? :-) Bit early and thanks for the reports. My son and I will be heading out to get some lines wet and tight too. Have you been out to CPP lately?
by SnapBack02 on Apr. 12, 2016
I've had a little luck on fly, I used a micro leech and they were hitting it before it even sank. Odd I know lol
by Donnie D on Apr. 11, 2016
once again we are catching some very big Brown trout,s..my friend landed a very big and fat Brown trout this evening ..all catch and release..no action on the fly,s as of yet but lures seem to be the ticket.
by SnapBack02 on Apr. 10, 2016
Fished today for an hour had some nice strikes on the surface. Hooked up with one but lost him not long after. Glad to see there still alive and Hungry
by Donnie D on Apr. 9, 2016
my friends are landing the Brown trouts like crazy..me on the other hand have been getting skunked..lol..to soon for 52 buick wet flys so i will have to go and use some lures next time like my friends were useing..

Brown trout action was hot !!!.. clearly the trout survived the winter..
by Fishin'96 on Apr. 8, 2016
Went there today guys. Fished for about an hour and caught a nce smaller brown trout.
by pwned555 on Apr. 8, 2016
There might be fish still, didn't see any bites, catches, or surface action (but it's a little early in the year for surface action anyway) while I was there.
by SnapBack02 on Apr. 8, 2016
Did this pond over winter? It was a mild winter so I'm hoping there's some there still
by pwned555 on Apr. 5, 2016
Ice is off now, not a lot of action the other night. I was only out for 45 minutes though, tried a San Juan Worm and Pheasant Tail.
by Patzaz on Apr. 3, 2016
Ice off yet? Anyone do well on spring chironomids here
by Donnie D on Apr. 3, 2016
to backwoods....there are signs up all around the pond clearly stating no boats of any kind on the lake..but i have seen the odd person with a boat on the pond..normally people just yell at the person in the boat to get off the lake....but to answer your question..no boats of any kind allowed...i saw a guy last summer get a fine from the police..
by Backwoods on Apr. 3, 2016

Great place highly suggest EVERY ONE WHO LIKES FISHING TO TRY 4Seasons..has it,s up,s and downs , has its hot fishing day,s and slow fishing day,s...never in its history has 4seasons been over pressuered.........Be a true and fisherman/women and keep posting your reports..good or bad..it,s ok...tight lines everyone..
nothing wrong with giving updates on fishing here..good or bad..its what this site and others like it are for..never get upset if your reading good reports..its stocked every year and never die,s out...great place to take the kids or just get out and have a good time..great fishing here..myself i landed 3 the other day and saw a bunch more on the cam..
by iYearn on Jan. 2, 2016
What a beautiful day on the ice! Unfortunately, no fish. No one else appeared to be catching either. But will be back...maybe in the spring after it is stocked again.
by Alumacomp on Jan. 1, 2016
Lakechaser I tried to say the same thing a few months ago. Stocked annually or not, if posts lead to doubling or tripling of the pressure there will no longer be good fishing for everyone.
by Donnie D on Jan. 1, 2016
lakechaser..4seasons is a yearly stock lake..no matter how many people go there..it is always good fishing..great place for ice fishing ,fly fishing and taken the kids..i highly recommend 4seasons to anyone. posting info on lakes is what this website is all about...
by Lakechaser on Dec. 31, 2015
I think it's great when people are having success at some of the lakes listed on Ifish, however it's just a matter of time before some of the lakes are fished out due to over advertising and flocks of people descending on them because of all of the positive posts on some of them.
by fisher777 on Dec. 31, 2015
Park at 4 seasons park. Short walk in. Fishing was good 3 weeks ago. Slowing down every day. Caught a few browns and rainbows. Not seeing much on the flasher my last 2 trips.

Still haven't picked up my ice auger....was hoping Santa was going to bring me one but no luck. Oops thanks iYearn, not Sneeder re: the adapter lol. Not enough coffee yet this morning. NOW I want to say the hell with the days errands and come out. Hmmmmmm.....what to do, what to do lol :)
Thanks for all the advice on the auger, and for the offer of help sneeder. I didn't think the ice would be that thick this fast!!!!! Now I am excited to go out and give things a try, especially with the warm weather. Can't come out this weekend, too busy, but maybe next weekend. I do have a cordless drill, so I will look for the adapter Sneeder was talking about, but its good to know the ice isn't too bad to get thru with an auger. Perch in there???? Never knew that.Hope the Browns get them all. Crappy that people do that but what can you do. Hoping to be out next weekend, planning on getting an auger this week I think. One of the guys at work said a four inch should be good enough? Thoughts?

by Alumacomp on Dec. 3, 2015
The reference about keeping fish was only with regards to perch. This is what it says in the 2015 regs http://www.albertaregulations.ca/fishingregs/fish-stocking.html
by Sneeder16 on Dec. 3, 2015
Hey Donnie D all good buddy no worries dude. I was there on Tuesday and caught 8 rainbows and missed about 6 lol. there pretty active between 8am to 11:00am after that they slowed right down.
by Me1969 on Dec. 3, 2015
I think you need to update yourself on the regs. The perch have been introduced illegally and can't be kept
my advice for you guys is get updated alberta regs.it is in deed legal to keep your catch at 4seasons..lol
lol i have been catching fish from 4seasons for 10 years with fishwild officers chatting right beside me..trust me on this..you are indeed allowed to keep your limit at 4seasons..its not debateable
Me1969 is correct. This from the AB Regs...."The harvest of game fish species other than trout from stocked trout waters is not permitted"
You can't keep perch from a stocked pond, unless the regulations stipulate that you can
by Donnie D on Dec. 2, 2015
you can keep anything out of 4seasons..trout and perch..but ya i agree ..some body put the perch there..if im not mistaken i think Brown trout eat perch if so then the perch should be gone soon enough..the brown trout have put on weight in 4seasons.
by Me1969 on Dec. 2, 2015
If there are Perch in it, you can bet some genius dumped some in it. You can't keep any so I really don't see the point
by Donnie D on Dec. 1, 2015
To sneeder 16..look,s like i owe you a apology..my buddy went to 4season,s today (he and alot of people including myself didnt belive you about the perch) but after fishing for 2 hours he saw 4 perch on his cam and landed 1..he confermed your story..hope you can find it to forgive me for not beliveing you dude..lol..i am man enough to admit i was wrong..thank you for the info..now i am highly looking forward to ice fishing at 4seasons ..
by Donnie D on Nov. 29, 2015
lol they must have just stocked 4seasons with perch cause there has never been perch there before...should be fun ice fishing there for sure now..thnks for the update
by Sneeder16 on Nov. 28, 2015
Donnie D.... There is perch in the Beaumont pond '' 4 seasons'' I seen two on my camera and caught one lol. Before Wednesday I also thought there was only rainbows and browns but I guess there perch too...lol.. I guess I should have taken a pic haha.
by Donnie D on Nov. 27, 2015
sneeder16... i think you got your lakes mixed up..there are no perch in 4seasons....wish they did have perch that would be great but saddly they dont...4seasons only has Rainbow trout and Brown trouts..and minnows..lol
by Sneeder16 on Nov. 27, 2015
I was out yesterday and caught 5 rainbows and one decent size perch and missed 6 do too crapy hook sets lol. theres a good 5 inchs of ice out there and I was using worms.
by Pikestalker on Nov. 26, 2015
Lake is frozen over got to drill a few holes a couple days ago but blizzard chased me off . If anyone wants to go I defiantly know how to get fish on the ice lol
by iYearn on Nov. 24, 2015
Thanks DonnieD. We'll see you out there!
by Donnie D on Nov. 23, 2015
i havent been out ice fishing yet..but my friend has been there 3 times allready..ice is about 5inchs and he said the trout are active
by iYearn on Nov. 23, 2015
Hey Donnie D do you know the ice conditions at Beaumont?
to sassyboots...early ice fishing season it is very easy to cut threw the ice with your auger...but by january it is hard when the ice really thickens up..
by iYearn on Nov. 22, 2015
SassyBoots Take the handle off of your hand auger (but bring it along as back up). Buy a $5.00 adapter from Walmart.ca for a auger and power drill. Take your cordless drill, with an extra battery and you have a power auger. With my 19V drill I can go through 3' of ice in about 5-10 seconds.
by Sneeder16 on Nov. 21, 2015
Hey sassy boots. using a hand auger is too bad as long as u have sharp blades on your auger u should b fine. but other than that if I see u down there I will give u a hand no problem. I got your back lol. and does any body know if there is enough ice down there yet
by SassyBoots on Nov. 21, 2015
Alright, so here is a stupid question. Well, maybe not so stupid. I love coming out here on the weekend, its close to home and a great getaway for me. I'd love to come and try some ice fishing this year. Thing is, I am not sure if I can get a hole thru the ice with an auger by myself. I'm a girl(in case you can't tell by the username lol). I've gotten "looks" from a couple of guy friends when I mention drilling a hole with a hand auger. I've never tried it, and am getting the impression its difficult? What are the chances of making arrangements when the ice gets thick enough to be out when one of you guys are out there to help me get a hole in the ice? I'd really appreciate it. I'm planning to go buy a little auger for myself anyway, but just in case. Also, maybe someone can show me the right way to do it? Like I said, it sounds kind of silly, but when I go out, I go alone, I'm single. I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.
by Donnie D on Nov. 17, 2015
just to be safe i just wait till first week of December for start of ice fishing.
by SassyBoots on Nov. 14, 2015
Hey Donnie D, has it been that thick when it has been this warm? I was out today and got one to bring home.....shallow end of the pond is iced up and the geese are walking on it lol. North end of the pond is still moving water but for how long? Sad face. Going to have to go invest in an ice auger.....
by Donnie D on Nov. 12, 2015
ice fishing i normally just use worms and peckrel rigs and bells...seems to work good on trout
by iYearn on Nov. 12, 2015
Hey Donnie D Now that you have put the foam beetles and 52 Buicks away what do you use through the ice?
by Donnie D on Nov. 7, 2015
i am so pump to start ice fishing here soon..99% of the time i am here ice fishing in the first week of december..ice is mostly at 6 inchs by then.
by Bluenoser1971 on Nov. 4, 2015
Didn't have a black, so tried a green 52 Buick on Saturday. No luck, not a bite. But, I'm not much of a fly fisherman! Hope to stand next to you one day, Donnie D, and see how to do it.
by Donnie D on Oct. 24, 2015
fished here today (saturday) for 2 hours..landed a few small rainbows and 1 ok size Brown trout.. used black 52buick flys
by iYearn on Oct. 23, 2015
Thanks Donnie D. Why don't you just get your rabbit hackle from the Fishing Hole? :-)))
by Donnie D on Oct. 21, 2015

by iYearn on Oct. 21, 2015
Hey DonnieD have you been out on Beaumont over the past week? Any report?
by Donnie D on Oct. 13, 2015
caught a nice fat Brown trout on dark color 52buick fly...and some small rainbows....looking forward to ice fishing season.
by SassyBoots on Oct. 12, 2015
Had an awesome day here, caught enough large enough for dinner(I eat what I catch for the most part lol)enjoying them now with some salt and pepper and dill and a little thyme.....wow. Delicious fish, a bit muddy but way better than some small pond/lake fish i've tried. Yum.
by Donnie D on Oct. 7, 2015
yes the foam beetle still work and the leech is awesome for this time of the year to use...also try useing a black color 52buick..they are great for fall season. good luck
by iYearn on Oct. 6, 2015
Donnie D Is that foam beetle pattern still working out there for you? We haven't been to Beaumont for a while but we are finding leech patterns to be good at other trout lakes.
by Donnie D on Oct. 4, 2015
was here fishing in high winds and cold rain last fryday evening..landed a big fat brown trout .
by SassyBoots on Sep. 30, 2015
I was out weekend before last and lots of bites on worms, got one on my line but it hopped off(my own darn fault) before I got it on shore. Felt like a gooder too! Planning on heading back out this weekend. Tried the bobber, no luck, but they kept coming after my worms on bottom. Just wish I could have grabbed them when they were tapping lol. Love this little pond, close to home for me and a great way to relax and spend part of the day. :)

by Donnie D on Sep. 7, 2015
your right Fishnuts...thats the whole purpose of these lake reports...i post my good trips and i post my bad fishing trips..i read on other peoples reports for tip,s and so on.. ....I am sure alumacomp is a cool person and all..most likely just having a bad day and grumpy..lol... i still wish him well none the less...
by fishnuts on Sep. 7, 2015
I'm sorry alumacomp but that's the whole purpose of the lake report/feedback, to let other people know what to expect at a particular lake or river. Some people like to know these things before driving long distances to different spots. I'm sorry to hear that it doesn't sound like you have as much luck as other people that are commenting
by Donnie D on Sep. 6, 2015
Spent the day with my little girl fishing. Happy to say she out skunked her old man fishing.. She landed 2 rainbows on worms and bobber.. cold weather but still a great day.
Alumacomp..sorry you dont like my post..but .i have done nothing wrong .i enjoy fishing and telling people about it i have good days out and i have bad days out..If me post upset,s you then please dont come on this website.. your poor comment was very rude and not called for.. have your self a good day
by Alumacomp on Sep. 6, 2015
Donnie D are you new to fishing, new to Alberta, or both? Enjoy your success but keep it to yourself. Your very frequent posts are a guaranteed recipe for overfishing. I never understand why fisherman have to brag. Enjoy the sport and preserve the resource. You may catch and release, but there's a whole lot of others that don't.
by Donnie D on Sep. 5, 2015
Trout fishing here has picked up big time.. Landed a few on the fly rod (black foam beetles) and landed 9 rainbows on rig,s and worms.. all catch and released. great day of fishing. now i am getting pumped for the up coming ice fishing season to start ha ha
by Donnie D on Aug. 15, 2015

by Donnie D on Jul. 17, 2015
choppy waters high winds and light mist but i was able to land 5 small brown trouts this time .. all catch and release.
by Donnie D on Jul. 12, 2015
As hot as it has been these past few days the fishing action has not stopped. i was fishing with my spin rod and worms and landed 3 and missed about 10 more. sad that i saw a dead trout near my spot..it had huge claw marks on it..think a bird try to get it...
by Donnie D on Jul. 9, 2015
yet again fly fishing here is freaken awesome!!! landed 3 this time but all were nice and fat ..i released them back but wow they put up a good fight on the black foam beetles.
by Donnie D on Jun. 22, 2015
fly fishing here is great . Landed 2 nice size brown trouts and a fat ass rainbow trout. all catch and release. But there is a build up of green alge around the shore line .
by braebbackribs on Jun. 15, 2015
I have been fishing this pond lately and found it to be pretty fun, Success with small flies or lures moving fast through the water although the algae is making spin casting a little tough. I reccomend just making your way around the island and into the deep middle area, I havent had any luck on the fountain side yet
by Donnie D on Jun. 5, 2015
once again the fly fishing here is off the charts..lots of fun all catch and release. black foam beetles work very well.
by Riverbear on Jun. 2, 2015
Report poachers, but don't interfere with people's legal fishing. (Even if you hate them) it is unlawful/unethical. Just keep up the friendly info and be glad in the knowledge there is good stewards (like us) out there. Tight lines!!
by Donnie D on Jun. 1, 2015
man ohh man i love ice fishing at 4seasons. i have been ice fishing here for a few years now and never had any issues..some days its slow then next its awesome.. best place is near the island for ice fishing
by Silent but deadly fisherman on Jun. 1, 2015
I've been fishing Beaumont pond for 8 years now. The pond was great back when you can get 2-1/2pound to 3pound trout in there. Then a winter kill occurred and took out 95% of the trout. This pond hasn't been the same since. But I'm hoping it will get to that point again in the future because it close to home for me and it is fun for me to relax and enjoy after work. I mostly do C&R at this pond unless I catch the odd 2pound or 3 pounder in there.
by iYearn on Jun. 1, 2015
Thanks Donnie D and Silent for the info.
Glad you are enjoying Beaumont as much as my son and I are.
We've been out many times...all C&R. So it is unfortunate to hear stories of anyone piling them in and keeping them.
Clearly, they can keep them. Up to their limit of course.
I am to understand that "Fish & Feathers" has been out to Beaumont and handed out tickets and seized equipment already this year.
So good on them for doing that!!
If you see someone poaching, phone it in.
Hey Donnie. Those brown people I saw them as I was leaving. I wish I stayed behind and messed around with their lines. I would have set up a rig of triple hooks and cast like I'm a pure beginner. Lol would have loved to stay and messed around with them. BTW I'm the Filipino sitting beside the bench to the right side of guys that had two kids.
by Donnie D on May. 31, 2015
landed another 10 rainbows ( all catch and release) but sad to say i saw a group of men (from pkastan) keeping all the trout they were catching..i was right near them and none of the trout they got were bigger then their hands..all small trout and they kept them.. i asked why are they keeping such small trout but they politely told me to shut up .. so i decided to cast my fly rod into their area just to tick them off...ha ha
by Conservation on May. 30, 2015
Lots of fun fishing!....I have even seen kids fishingtoo (that is great)...what is even better is Fisheries has been around nabbing groups of guys who are harvesting fish beyond their limit with out licences....Usually on the point by the spruce trees. Report a poacher and hopefully the family fishing will last longer.

by Riverbear on May. 11, 2015
It's not 10 fish a day. It's 5 trout possession limit
by iYearn on May. 11, 2015
Couldn't agree more Clazel1 and C&R. My son and I were out over the weekend. Caught 7 including 2 browns. All small...all fun...all went back!! This pond gets heavy fishing pressure and based on the number of people out while we were they C&R's math is accurate. But I did see more people releasing than keeping the fish. Let's keep that C&R going so we can enjoy Beaumont until the end of the season!
by Clazel1 on May. 10, 2015
Last year was my first year to fish in this pond and I seen people walking away with fish all the time in the early part of the season and by July long weekend fishing was all but done. In the evenings when the bugs where hatching you wouldn't see a single rise. It was really disappointing. I would like to see the little ones stick around and grow.
by C&R for our future children on May. 10, 2015
Yup....I agree on the catch limit....lets do the math...10 people around the lake all day catching about 10 fish a day with 2500 fish stocked means the pond will be empty in less than a month. So if the fish fits, there will be no fish left to fry....how about fish to enjoy the sport too. I agree with Muir lake restrictions.
by Clazel1 on May. 9, 2015
Agreed they need to make the catch limit a little more strict for this pond then maybe the fish will have a chance to grow. Maybe have it a little more like Muir, but with a catch and size but maybe a little more reasonable. Maybe allow 2 fish at 12 inches
by Riverbear on May. 8, 2015
"if the fish fits, fry it".
by C&R for our future children on May. 8, 2015
Yes it has been stocked......but people, people, people....they fish are toooooo small to eat! Let them grow so please C and R only till at least the end of June....they were just put in and I saw two guys catch and fry up a whole pan full on one of the fire pits. Sheesh
by Donnie D on May. 7, 2015
this year so far the fishing has been hot..i landed a few fat rainbows 2 days before it was stocked so i know the trout survived the winter. but now 4seasons has been stocked with new rainbows and now has brown trout in it also. none stop action.
by KarlK69 on May. 7, 2015
It has definitely been stocked. Fish jumps once a minute.
by iYearn on May. 6, 2015

by Whitefish18 on May. 5, 2015

by iFish Guest on Apr. 28, 2015
I was out April 21. Only sign of fish was a dead one 10 feet from shore. Calm as could be. Not one rise, not one nibble. Browns being stocked this year. Have fun bait fisherman. I've given up on this place.
by Conservation on Apr. 25, 2015
Stocking occurs any time between April 15 and May 31.
by Rhino0805 on Apr. 21, 2015
I was out there today for a hr or 2 and was talking with a older guy and he heard they stocked it yesterday with 2500 rainbow but a lot of the others guys I talked to said no not yet. Didn't even get a bite. So I'm saying not yet.
by Whitefish18 on Apr. 20, 2015

by Conservation on Sep. 1, 2014
How about catch and release until end of July and then have a kids only weekend fishing derby...then catch and take after that!!!!!!! This way it works for c/r people, focuses on kids and allows them to grow for the meat eaters!
by AlbertaCaster on Aug. 12, 2014
First cast today at 5:35am. 80% of hatch activity and 20% of the fish activity. Pretty quiet and lots of sips. Weather was 4 degrees warmer. Jumping started by 5:40. First fish on third cast and 2nd fish on my 5th cast. Plus four more hits on a fly pattern I tied to imitate Sunday's Green Lacewing. Will post photos on ifishforum.com this week.
by AlbertaCaster on Aug. 10, 2014
Thanks Oly. After a quick water sample I noticed Green Lacewigs hatching which may have been on the trout menu. One took a large mosquito pattern I tied on due to the onslaught of critters butting my arms. I trimmed an Adams that did the trick. Many staple patterns might do for Lacewigs however I hit the vice to tie a few for next time. Stay small, match the hatch and target feeding times of early and late day. For reference, I was fishing the south side of the pond.
by Oly on Aug. 10, 2014
Great post AlbertaCaster.
The pond is alive and well! Was here at 5am. Sun rise at 6:10 and hundreds of fish jumping. The hatch was small white flies. Size 20-24 hooks easily. Caught 3 and had many more hits. Jumping died by 7 and sipping the surface till 8:30 then it slowed down. Perhaps leaving the pickerel rigs and spoons at home for small dry flies on a thinner but long leader would bring everyone more bites in the morning. Just a thought.
by Badger87 on Aug. 9, 2014
Too many poachers in beaumont
by Pikster on Aug. 8, 2014
That's a fair point as well. I just came back from BC and was told by a fishing resort owner/guide that if you can catch and release till mid August there i good opportunity to get almost all out before November. He said the rainbows tend to get quite aggressive once summer heat is gone and will surface more frequently in average depths of 10-20 feet. No offence intended to those who wish to keep them early on, just like to see kids ability to catch them throughout the season to stay interested.
by Shabba on Aug. 4, 2014
I agree . But the other side of the coin is you leave them in the lake and they just winter kill anyway.
by Pikster on Aug. 3, 2014
To the last entry, I strongly agree. I have fished with my son for the past 6 years only to see several bodies of water around large cities fished out and it appears many of us share similar frustrations. I have read hundreds of entries asking others if they know of any good perch or rainbow trout lakes. Until certain people respect the catch and release idea Im afraid these issues will continue and get worse. Dont get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with taking the odd one home but the minute a few people post comments of lots of action at a particular spot it seems there is a stampede of fishermen and women rushing to the latest hotspot to take what's left. So many folks talk about the days of hot bodies of water with great fishing. Look what happens when people keep taking home anything that bites the hooks? Let's respect the idea of being a bit less unselfish for the good of the sport. It will add a lot of smiles to kids and those new to fishing.
by iFish Guest on Jul. 5, 2014
Went last night fished for three hours. Seen some rising but all little trout like 3-5 inches. I think a lot of people are keeping them instead of catch and release which is too bad. Used to be a hot pond.

by Patzaz on Sep. 14, 2013
What would you rather? Catching large fish and releasing for others or lining up along shore to catch 4-6 inch stockers year after year and pan frying every night. I'm seeing too many people taking a tonne of fish home here. Now that aca is involved and it may be aerated practice catch and release. Educate others on shore. Yes to take one home is ok but let's get some age variation and hope for no more future winter kills. Then decrease the stocking rates once the pond gets to capacity. BOOM!
by Dhpenner1 on Sep. 2, 2013
Small worms or a little ball of Power Bait and you'll be busy all day. I take my two young kids there all the time.

by Toadwillie on May. 2, 2013

by iFish Guest on Feb. 27, 2013
very small place but good fishing. all year i was fly fishing here and ice fishing aswell but its slow down a bit. was out here last week and saw 2 trout in 5 hours.
by Crash on Oct. 11, 2012
The fish are sick with something this year. Four of the fish i have caught this month have had tumors and such.
by Freezeberry on Aug. 12, 2012
20' of junk marsh around the lake making it almost impossible to fish.
Been here 3 times and never got a bite.

Because of a nice guy from the esso out in Beaumont right by the pond. I just found out the the pond is still closed can't believe it on a long weekend of all things crazy. Thanks Richard for saving me a long drive out there.
by Fly guy on Jun. 26, 2012
Anyone know if you can fish yet? Or is it still closed for what ever reason?
by Rossco on Jun. 21, 2012
Was fishing at Beaumont pond today, and some Parks guys put up signs that the pond was closed to fishing for "water maintenance", whatever that is- very disappointing for my son and I
by Ned on Jun. 1, 2012
Lots of nibbles near shore, didn't catch anything though. Hundreds jumping. Nice pond.

Just wondering what has been working for bait so far this year
by Reb98 on May. 21, 2012
It's on the west side of the spray park. Not the dugout on the west side of the parking lot.

by JohnnyD on Jan. 8, 2012
One bite for four of us fishing all morning, just a little guy that threw the hook before I could pull him out.
by JohnnyD on Jan. 7, 2012
Three hours fishing this morning but no bites for any of us. Ice was good. Another guy there said they caught 4-5 apiece last weekend.

I fished from 8 pm and caught 4 nice sized fish around the 12 to 14 inches mark. I was on te south west part of the pond using a brown caddis dry fly. The fish hit it hard ad I had a great time. Remember to bring bug spray as the Mosquitos are crazy.
by Mr.K on Jul. 9, 2011
Went last Sunday and was swarmed buy Mosquitos.Had a good hard nipple inthe first ten
Minutes there but nothing after. Lots of weeds around the shore limits access to the water. I will give it another try as I have heard good things about this pond.
by Crash on Jun. 9, 2011
Drove all the way out here with the dog only to find dogs are not allowed in the park. Too hot to leave the dog in the car so didnt get the opportunity to fish.
by Marsh on Jun. 1, 2011
Went to the pond for the first time today. The fish were jumpin out of the water just tanting me until I changed my bait. Caught 4 nice size trout within 20 mins. Lots of baby geese out on the pond today!
by Jd on May. 10, 2011
Spent a couple of hour fishing the pond the last two night haven't seen any sign of alive fish. There's about 10 or 12 larger rainbows dead along shore. Looks like the lake had a really bad winter kill this year.
by don on Feb. 5, 2011
