Was fantastic earlier this year. Way too many people taking everything they catch home. Has slowed down dramatically

Has it been stocked?

It was the first time going there for me and some buddies, had a blast. From 10am till 10pm, all day in the sun, and bombing out some flies! In total, about 75 fish were caught, all released, and all lived. The biggest was 12", but most in the 6" to 8" range. All rainbows. If you plan to fly fish, and catch a ton, use a size 16 or 18 nymph, the type didn't really matter, pheasant tails were favoured, with a your smallest split shot, 18" up, and indicator 3 to 4' above your fly. I promise you'll nail them. Have fun and strike fast!

Very good for a stock pond, directions that loaded through iPhone maps were wrong. Lots of activity and caught some small 10" trout. Will be back

Fished yesterday for 2 hours from 6:30pm. Caught 4 trout about 8”-11” between two of us, hooked a few more using #2 spinners. I did hook one on fly casted on a float from the bushy west shore, but couldn’t land. Lures from the north shore worked better. Water was muddy and rusty brown, however. Any opinion about consuming trout from this reservoir?

I went there after work and fished for a few hours without touching a single fish. I don't think it has been stocked yet this year. I saw four other fisherman and they did not touch anything either.

What is happening at Hilliers this year? Water is very dirty and dead trout floating around.

Caught and released 4 fish in only a hour of fishing using black woolley burgers, advise people not to keep fish due to the blue green algae. One of the 4 fish caught was full of lesions

Bring your kids! Fished from 7-9 pm and caught 20+ each. Hard to land as try are so small right now. Find a calm bay and throw out small spoons or a fly. Many risers and a good place to practice fly fishing
