Hands down the best spot in the Edmonton area for trout. This place produces 8"-18" trout regularly and offers a chance at catching 3 different species (Rainbows, Brooks, and Browns) during one visit. Was there a few weeks ago and saw people keeping their limit. Please catch and release in this pond. It is aerated and allows fish to grow and become a great fishery for everyone to come and snap a shot of a very decent sized catch.

8 to 10 inches of decent ice stay clear of the aerator.

First time fishing here ..not a bad place..small pond but good fishing. Small green wet flys with gold beed heads seem to work very well. Looking forward to going ice fishing here.

We've fished here a couple times and lots jumping but can't catch anything. Seen other people catching. What do you use for bait here?

Spent 3.5 hrs throwing everything we had at these lil buggers. Saw lots less than 3 feet below the ice. Had a few nibbles but they were very subtle. I'll Be Back !!

Alright thanks a lot appreciate the answer! Tight lines!

by petetherocker on Jun. 8, 2018
No you cannot, sign at the lake indicates 'no boating'. it's too small for a boat anyway. about 150 metres across

by Ride rank on Jun. 7, 2018
Can anyone tell me if you can put a small boat into this lake? Thanks in advance.

this place has always put out for me , but this winter was very slow, i spent 3 days here recently and finally sunday they wouldnt stop biting been a while but worth the hours i been putting in my buddy got a huge brown as well

by blackie on Jan. 5, 2017
Fished for an hour around noon. No bites.16" ice near shore. Thinner further out. Open water at centre of pond due to aeration. There were 20 old holes on ice, so others have been fishing.

oggie The ACA says 2,000 rainbows in May and June. They put a 1,000 in last year on Sept 21...another 1,000 the year before and 3,500 in 2012.

by oggie on May. 17, 2016
LRD V8R They did stock 600 BRTR in telegraph but they did not stock 2000 rainbows. The lake is too small for that many rainbows.

by LRD V8R on May. 17, 2016
Already stocked: 2,000 rainbows and 600 browns. 20 cm each
by Bizz on May. 17, 2016
Anyone know when they are stocking this year?

by LRD V8R on Feb. 18, 2016

Saw several jumping. Finally landed a 13 inch long, 2 lbs ish rainbow. I hooked it, but let my 8 year old daughter reel it in and take the credit. No other bites, just Mosquitos. Quiet. We were only ones there. Used a small wet fly with some trout bait about 5 feet up from weight. We are pretty new to fishing but happy with today's success!

This pond fishes great all summer. There is lots of feed and the trout are fussey . Dragonfly nymphs work like crazy in aug/sept. the big fish fight like crazy so have good leaders. I wear chest waders and fish the shoreline and have awesome results. And please don't start letting people use watercraft of any type as it will cause much grief. I agree with the post about opening more spots for people to fish as little kids should have easy acess to fish this jewel of a pond. My only fear is that over stoking is going to stunt the growth of the fish. I hope people who manage this pond learn by the mistakes of other stocked ponds. Ponds this size can only support so many fish

by Patzaz on Jul. 19, 2013
This pond needs management. Fished it as a kid. All old spots are grown in maybe 4 spots to fish from. Allow belly boats if your not going to maintain it. Some hard to catch fish though

by Haakonson on May. 20, 2013
Whers a gd spot to fly fish from shore?

by Trigger on Jan. 7, 2013
i fish there quite often and i do really well pulled out 2 5 lbers last year just gotta know the trick

by Steven on Dec. 19, 2012
Fishes well in the spring and fall. Drilled about 50 holes all over the pond like a grid and haven't picked up a single thing on the camera or flasher. Aerated so be aware of open water.
by Rakerman on Mar. 27, 2021

Stay clear of the open water and you’re good.
