Very nice pond with lots of action! Fish jumping and bitting like crazy; lost 2 at shore; suggest bringing a net and golf clubs as the driving range is just across the street of the pond

by ShortsideK on Jan. 13, 2019

Deep snow with 4" of surface water. Hard to get around. Wet. Not a sniff. Lots of people fishing. Don't think they were doing much judging from the constant auger noise.

Fished the pond in a float tube today. Caught a dozen 8" rainbows and one 12" rainbow on bead head prince nymph. Tried some other nymphs and got blanked. Fished from 2:00-5:00.

Used a small spinner and got two. Lots were jumping and overall a good time

by Sumara on Jun. 1, 2018

Spinners work great here. They were going crazy for shiny ones.

Using small spoons worked alright for this pond. Nothing was over 6" Was very hard to catch anything on th fly rod using a mosquito. The water clarity is extremely murky right now.

by Cmzurn on May. 26, 2018

Great morning. Lots of bites with spinners. Too windy to cast far from shore but caught and released a dozen in 2 1/2 hours

by Cajed1 on May. 7, 2018

Of course they survived... read the posts before claiming winterkill just because you weren't skilled enough to catch anything.

by Sumara on May. 7, 2018

Went in the morning a few days ago. Seen a few dead fish on the shore but no activity. Hopefully there's some survived.

by Cykoboom on May. 6, 2018

Very slow day, lake was open but only caught trout during the last hour of the park being open 8:45-9:45pm. Caught about 6 between 3 of us. Only thing that worked was our fly fishing setup with a dry fly. Spinners & everything else was useless.

Star Star Star Star Star

by Campergirl on May. 6, 2018

Star Star Star Star Star

The mostly oddly erotic thread here on iFish...and from Cardiff too. Who would of guessed trout fishing could be so much fun?

A pair is normal. FYI.

Been fishing this pond for 25 years and always had some what decent luck. Went out for half the day Aug 2 and was only able to catch one very small rainbow. Was cloudy and 20 c. A few nipples here and there. What really suprised me was the second fish I caught was 19.5" & 4 lbs 13 0z. Biggest fish I've seen come out of here. Both where released without harm. Went back Aug 3 for half the day again with horrible results again. One tiny rainbow with only a few nipples. Was a cloudy day again about 19-20 c. Water was some what warm. Don't fool yourself about The quantity or quality of rainbows in this pond. There's lots of shapes & sizes. Just gotta find them. Good luck folks !!!!! Always a great place to take the family !!

Caught a few small bows. Water temp is 75F. Found one small dead bow in the bush a few feet from shore. Suspect someone is culling their catch.
