Starting to get soft on edges, 34 inches of ice ,average different places on the lake._most places that I fish are 85 to 99 feet deep._fish on the bottom white jig three inch smelt, hook thru the back. I have a camera , fish bite so soft you wouldn't no they were stealing your bait. lots of nice fish going thru south side on north shore 30 +- feet out ,look for the second slide past where the wind boats are moored. Good luck tight lines_lots of jigging helps

Is the water level up to get a boat launched?

Star Star Star Star Star

by Cph on Jun. 10, 2017

Went out there today. The lake is near empty. Boat launches are not usable unless you have canoe or something without a trailer. Wish someone had posted this message earlier for me but atleast now you all know.

I don't know if you can at the village without being a resident there, I've only ever got on near the dam and drove over across the ice to the west end, unfortunately that's the only public access on the lake

by EthanAW on Feb. 1, 2017

How do you access the west side by the village?

How's the ice at ghost?

Star Star Star Star Star

by WWWilverine on Jan. 25, 2017

It is a tough lake to fish! If you head west past ghost village and look for inlets on the sides of the lake and go in there where the water usually ranges from 3 to 15 feet you will have better luck! For whites I use a bead head fly with a maggot on it, also good for trout and if your really adventurous stay after dark and throw a minnow on a glow in the dark jig, let it sit a foot below bottom to hit up some burbot! Hope this helps

it was my first time ever at this lake. Access south of bow valley trail by the ghost river bridge was tough unless you had a truck to plow through slushy ice and like was on the north side but there was solid ice to drive on along the dock blocks. Ice was minimum 12 inches once on the lake. I was on the ghost river, in roughly 30-50 of water. There were other people fishing and riding motorcycles and side-by-sides. Used powerbait, minnows, shrimp and plastics but no luck. Was there for over 3 hours. Not sure what's a good area here to fish.

by CaptSumTingWong on Jan. 7, 2017

Were there a lot of vehicles on the ice?

by Cph on Jan. 7, 2017

I've never caught a fish in this lake and today was no different.
